Explore France with our handpicked wheelchair adapted stays
A country for all seasons: explore France by picking one of the two accessible stays we have selected for you - great wine, food, sea, nature and stunning views are all on the menu.
Wheelchair accessible Alsace: sip some Riesling, meet some local animals and relax in style.

In the heart of Alsace’s famed wine route, we have selected a wheelchair adapted gîte (rural house) that puts you within tasting distance of Rieslings and Gewürztraminer wines. Beyond local vineyards, you’re within easy reach of La Volerie des Aigles in Kintzheim, a castle with a stunning view which offers also performances with birds of prey. The Volerie offers a discounted ticket to visitors with a disability and is partially accessible (visit the website of Volerie des Aigles for more info).
At La Montagne des Singes, the monkey park in Kintzheim, a guided, slightly modified route (+ adapted toilets) ensures you can observe free‑roaming Barbary macaques from a secure, accessible path ( check out the details here:Montagne des Singes). For family fun, head back to Cigoland—this storks‑and‑leisure park offers reduced entry for wheelchair users, flat paths, monorail rides, canoe circuits, and a selection of accessible attractions for all ages (but not all attractions: read the full description here: Cigoland). After a day of accessible adventures, unwind poolside or in your living room, then sample tarte flambée in a nearby winstub, a typical local restaurant serving the local Alsatian dishes - and of course wines.
Enjoy the sea in Carqueiranne - and your faboulous villa with accessible pool.
In Carqueiranne’s Cannebas district, in the world renowned Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, you’ll find a beautiful 150 m² single‑story villa for up to 6 guests: flat thresholds, wide sliding doors, an accessible master suite and a hydraulic‑lift pool opening onto a Mediterranean garden and shaded terrace. You think you will never want to leave the villa?
Think again: sea‑breezes and pine‑scented trails await just 2 km from your door. Try out the adapted boat trips or jet ski with local Non-Profit Un Fauteuil à La Mer (discover more here: Un Fauteuil à la Mer).

From the Porquerolles ferry dock, use the free shuttle or wheel along the 1.4 km wheelchair‑adapted track to reach Plage d’Argent, wheelchair accessible and with incredible panoramic views. The local association Un Fauteil à la Mer worked alongside the municipality to really create an all accessible beach (with also beach chairs - of course - you’ll find the description of the accessibility and a video here).
The beach “Tiralo” wheelchair is also available at the Peno and the Pradon beach with floating buoys and lifeguard assistance ensuring a safe dip (in these two beaches however an accompanying person is required to help with the plunge). Nearby, Bau Beach Red has dedicated disabled parking, pathways (although not in every part of the beach), and level access for sunbathing and beach sports (info on the Bau Beach’s accessibility here). Afterwards, return to your villa, get in your pool overlooking the Mediterranean - and enjoy life.
